We Welcome Our New Patients in Wilmington.

First Visit Experience

New patients are welcome at Phelps Family Dentistry! If you live in Wilmington, New Hanover County, or the surrounding counties of Pender, Brunswick, Columbus, and Duplin, you’ll find our office is convenient to visit. We are located half a mile from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

At your first visit, Dr. Daniel Phelps or Dr. Lisa Phelps will come in to introduce themselves and talk to you about what brings you to our office, and what you’d like to accomplish in your visits. Once that has happened, we’ll go over your previous dental experience and history, complete a full, intra-oral series of x-rays, and conduct a thorough comprehensive exam. We’ll chart the results of these examinations so we can compare them if we find any changes on your subsequent visits.

and Comforts

We make the effort to make sure you’re comfortable not just with our treatment techniques but with items like blankets if you feel chilly and headphones so you can listen to music. We also have computers in all our treatment rooms so you can look at images of your teeth, or you can watch educational videos if you need to wait during treatments. And if you need to bring your children with you to the office, they can watch TV in our reception area.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We help our patients make their dental care as affordable as possible. We file all insurance claims as a courtesy for patient. We ask the patient to pay their estimated portion up front.

We also offer an in-office plan to help our patients called the Phelps Dental Savings Plan. Ask our office staff for information about this plan.
